Pastor Livingston G. Gibbs

Pastor Livingston Gibbs, born in St. Ann, Jamaica West Indies, was raised in a family of 12, by parents that loved the Lord and ensured that he and his siblings regularly attended church services at the Jarrettan Baptist Church in St. Ann Jamaica, where his father was a Deacon.   As a youth, Pastor Gibbs surrendered his life to the Lord after listening to a gospel message delivered by Reverend Jarvis Mullings.  He was baptized in 1966 at the Caledonian Holiness Christian Church.  Soon after, he was awarded a Junior Ministry license, and was involved in tent and youth revivals.

Pastor Gibbs eventually migrated to the United States in 1970.

In November 1989, Pastor Gibbs received a vision from God to preach the gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Pastor Gibbs answered the call, and began serving at the Fire Baptize Church of God in Mount Vernon, NY under Pastor Viola Jacques.  Soon thereafter, in 1991, Pastor Gibbs was led by the Holy Spirit to establish the Holiness Christian Church of the Bronx.  He was ordained as a Minister of the Gospel in 1992.

Pastor Gibbs has led in many capacities at the Holiness Christian Church, as Corporate President, Senior Pastor, Chair of the Board of Administration, Oversight of the Treasury Department and all other departments, and has led the Building Project team in the erection of our current facility, ever since the churches incorporation.  He also participated in a prison ministry at Rykers Island for two years, along with Bishop Pauline Borland.

Two ministries were born out of the Holiness Christian Church of the Bronx, which includes New Life Holiness Christian Ministries, pastored by Bishop Winston Johnson, and God’s Healing Holiness Church, pastored by Bishop Dr. Pauline Borland.

Pastor Gibbs is a loving husband, father of 5 children, 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
