I was born on Barnett St. Montego Bay and grew up in Bickersteth St. James. As a child, he attended the Holiness Christian Church where he learned to love the Lord and the things of the Lord. Rev. Bardowell surrendered his life to the Lord at the age of 17 and continued his Christian walk with the Savior since then.
As a young man, Rev. Bardowell’s Christian life was not without struggle, but he was discipled and mentored by a man of God, shepherd of Christ, by the name of Mr. Vincent Gray. Through fasting, prayer and counselling from this man of God he learned how to live the abundant life in Christ.
During his years growing up, he worked with Bata Shoe Company. He then became a Life Underwriter, and also became a self-made entrepreneur. Having felt the call of God on his life, Rev. Bardowell studied at the Jamaica Bible College, now renamed Regent College.
Rev. Bardowell served as a Pastor at the Brighton Holiness Christian Church and the Enfield Holiness Christian Church in Jamaica where he conducted devotions and gave motivational talks to students to foster wholistic development.
Over the years, these experiences taught Rev. Bardowell to love, understand and care for people near and far, and most times offering help to the unfortunate especially children and mentally challenged.
Rev. Bardowell is married to his lovely wife, Mertlyn (affectionately known as Jean) and blessed with two wonderful daughters who are now grown, married and live with their own families.
Rev. Bardowell and his wife are passionate about souls coming to Christ and living for him in the fullness of joy. They love and always work with young people to bring out the best in them. They understand the call of God on their lives to be one that shape lives not just from the pulpit, but as they interact with other individuals, day by day. In recognition of this call, they try to connect with others and impart God’s truth in simple and practical ways.
The best of Rev. Bardowell’s life’s experience and joy is what God has helped him to contribute spiritually and otherwise to give others a life changing experience and to make society a better place through Christ centered living in preparedness for heaven.
